- June 21st - Only one meeting this month - first half of June is crazy!
We look at the 2004 TOPS Photo presentation from PSA.
- July 4th, Sunday - "Shootin' Fireworks and Photos" - club outing
This will take the place of the 1st Monday of the month meeting - details to follow.
- July 19th - "New York, New York"
Our own Kathleen and Arlene share photos and travel tips on the "city that never sleeps."
- August 2nd - "From Wet to Digital Darkroom"
FW Camera Club President Ken Spencer shares some insights on making the transition to digital from film. See some of the work he's done as an avid landscape artist, which includes examples of large prints made from scans of medium format originals.
- August 16th - "Friendly Fire"
Okay, it's a kind of show-and-tell. Image Share Deluxe. Show 1 or 2 of your latest pieces, especially the stuff you're 'working' on, and get the group's general response and input. Think in terms of the upcoming competition - get ideas on cropping, composition, etc. It can't hurt; we all like each other :-)
- September 2nd, Thursday - "Carter Museum" - Club Outing, 6:30
This will take the place of the meeting which would normally occur on Monday the 6th (Labor Day). The Carter has 2 photo exhibits which we'll tour. more info on their site
- September 18th, Saturday - "Gallery Night" - Club Project
Concurrent with a city-wide event, Hope Camera Club will sponsor and host an exhibit of photography and art which will be open to the public. "Fort Worth Flavor" is the theme which will help to draw in the public. More to come...
- September 20th - Competition - Theme: "Fort Worth Flavor"
Well while we've got the exhibit up, we might as well have a judge or 2 drop by....
- October 4th - "The Zone System"
Can a 60-year-old exposure control system developed by Ansel Adams be of any use today? Considering the fundamentals at its core, the answer is yes. Jon will do a teaching segment here...- October 18th - "Large Format Portraits"
Our guest is William McEwen who uses an 8x10 view camera and specializes in portraiture. He'll have the camera with him, and many examples of portraits of celebrities and friends, and the stories that go with them.
- October 29-30, Friday, Saturday - "Caddo Lake" - club outing
A few of us are headed to Caddo Lake - it's been labeled as one of the most beautiful spots in the state. If the weather cooperates - photos soon!- November 1st - "Trends in Paper and Ink"
A representative of Red River Paper, one of the largest paper companies in the area, will share and demonstrate the latest in inkjet papers, ink, printers, and technology. Info on durability, types, etc. will be given.- November 15th - Competition - Open Theme
- December 13th - PARTY!
