WHO IT'S FOR: 

Anyone who enjoys, and has an interest in Photography, any skill level. Beginners are welcome, you may learn something just from being around others, and those who are more advanced may be able to contribute. THE MAIN IDEA IS TO HAVE FUN WITH OTHERS WITH THE SAME INTEREST. This means you can invite others that you know who are interested.

July 17th, Wednesday - 7:30-10pm, Hope

• ImageShare and Follow-up.  Bring your best images for others to look at (informally), discuss and learn.  Include your pics from FreedomFest and Fireworks.  For those who did slides, I'll have a projector, and refreshments.
• And then some instructional stuff on
  The Basics: Light and Exposure - Aperture, speed and more speed 
  

July 20th, Saturday - Shoot somewhere TBD

July 24th, Wednesday - 7:30-10pm

The First Meeting:

Wednesday, June 19th....We had a great time!  There were 16 people in all with a range of skill/experience levels.  Some are 35mm users with cameras that auto/manual, some are more automatic or point-and-shoot, and some are mostly using digital.  We got acquainted thru pictures that people brought, and we did a survey to see what the group would most like to learn.   Here it is...

• The # One topic (by far)- 
  Composition & Emphasis - "But I look funny in that position!"

  -The Basics: Light and Exposure - Aperture, speed and more speed and
  -Outdoor Portraiture: Flash outdoors?
• The # Three topic -
  Flash: The Good, the Bad, and the Downright Ugly

  -Vacation Photo Tips
  -Equipment: What might I buy next?
  -Exposure Metering: Meters are useful but dumb
  -Open Mic Night: "Why does this keep happening?"

June 27th, Thursday - 5:50-8pm - Amon Carter Museum, this should be cool! 

•  The Photographic Exhibits - there are several.  Join us for a docent-guided tour (until about 7) and then look on your own till 8pm.  After, for those who would like, we'll have coffee/dessert at a nearby place to be decided.   For a map to the museum
  We met Bob Adamski who gave us a tour of the photographic works.  He explained older processes like copper and glass plates, and we viewed works of the same.  The faves among the group were the some nature works.  THEN we had a great 'debrief' (that's formal for party) at The Great Outdoors

July 4th, Thursday - 9 -10:30pm - place TBD, FIREWORKS PICS!  See 'em!

• This should be great!  I'm working on finding a location with a great view, and that will be easy to get to (i.e. someone won't have to 'save' our spot for hours). Click here for some easy "how to" pointers and equipment needed.

  Several of us met at LaGraves Field and had a great view, and a couple others also got pictures at other displays...check 'em out!

July 7th, Sunday - 12:30-2:30pm - FreedomFest, Hope  

• People Shoot!  You are encouraged to join in the fun, but while you're at it, take some people pics.  Look for close-ups, medium shots, activity shots, etc.  Just so they are engaging and interesting.  And it's always good practice.  If you can get your film developed right away, and let me see your best ones ASAP, we may be able to use them in the Hope Update and/or website.
